NANABAR is hoping to raise £5,000 to help open their first location, with a range of perks - including free nice cream for life - for those backing the project.
London UK, July 27, 2016 - NANABAR, the soon-to-be London-based, world’s first vegan banana ice cream - or ‘Nice Cream’ - bar announces the launch of its month long crowdfunding campaign. Leading into the campaign with an epic give-away of almost 400 vegan goodies from over 35 brands, NANABAR is set to take London by storm later this year.
Founded by marketing guru and health passionista Justin Martin just two months ago, NANABAR represents three core values - health, happiness and honesty. They’ll be offering a create-your-own option along with a wide selection of set flavours - including Pecan Pie, Peanut Butter Cup and Strawberry Shortcake - NANABAR will have something for everyone and, made entirely from bananas, is a healthy and dairy free alternative to traditional and yoghurt based icecreams. They are hoping to raise £5,000 through the crowdfunding campaign to help open the first location, with a range of perks - including free nice cream for life - for those backing the project.
Martin, who decided to relocate to South America last year after escaping London’s corporate grind, was diagnosed with type-one diabetes at the age of eight - it took him almost a decade to start taking good care of his health, but when he did, he realised how important it was, not just physically, but also mentally - for happiness, confidence and overall attitude towards life.
“Finally taking good care of myself, and consequently my diabetes made me realise just how important health really is, both physically and mentally,” Martin explains. “The three core values of NANABAR are health, happiness and honesty - which is why we’ll only be using all natural, organic, gluten free and 100% vegan ingredients in our ‘Nice Cream’.”
As well as helping people enjoy great-tasting, healthy, on-the-go food, NANABAR also dives straight into the surging trend of vegan eating as London’s gastronomes become more environmentally conscious. Veganism has surged 350 percent in the UK over the last 10 years, as reported by The London Economic, making veganism one of Britain’s fastest growing, and most popular trends.
“I want to get more people thinking about what they eat,” Martin adds. “I’m grateful that diabetes provided me with a reason to start thinking about how to eat healthily, but I realise it’s not always easy in the fast-paced world that we live in. NANABAR will allow people to eat more healthily on-the-go, without having to sacrifice great taste, or enjoyment.”
